Christmas is on its way and while it's a time of fun, it's important to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community and businesses. Our Business Crime Team has increased the number of patrols over the Christmas and New Year period and we've also got some tips that may be useful over the festive period:

• Keep visible and be aware – meet and greet your customers, look out for suspicious activity, make your staff and security visible.
• Sign up to our WhatsApp group to stay updated – our officers monitor this and will give support to incidents. Email our Business Crime Manager Gerry Morgan at Gerry@angelislington.london to be added.
• Make sure your CCTV system is operational and gives good coverage with clear images.
• Protect against burglary and make sure you secure your property.
• Stay safe online and be aware of scams and cybercrime.
• Report all crimes to the police, calling 999 if the offender is on the premises.
