The Angel Islington BID has launched a campaign to call for greater focus on the problem of shoplifting in the area and beyond. Responding to calls from members, and a significant rise in retail crime, Ben Stephenson, the BID's Chief Executive, has published a 9-point list of requirements that are needed to improve the system of detecting, reporting and prosecuting crimes against retailers.

In the coming weeks, the BID will host a series of events with police, MPs, the Mayor and others to raise awareness of the problem and its impact on retailers.
