The BID recently met Priory Green-based social enterprise Cook For Good, which connects businesses with a commitment to helping their community and reducing food waste. Cook For Good runs a community pantry in the area that is currently on the lookout for partners locally that can supply fresh goods – meat, fish, dairy, fruit and veg – and other foodstuffs. Items must be before their ‘Use by’ date but Cook For Good can collect. Bookshops can also get in on the action by stocking the organisation’s stocking filler cookbook ‘Soup for Good’, endorsed by Stanley Tucci, Nigella Lawson and others.
