Businesses urged to support refugee job fair
Employers or training support organisations who would like to connect with refugees should register for this month’s Central London Refugee Job Fair. The fair, hosted at London Metropolitan University in Holloway Road, aims to link refugees and asylum seekers (with the right to live and work in the UK), with employers, and offer advice and information about assessment processes. It is also a good opportunity for local businesses to connect with the refugee and asylum community. The event takes place on Monday, June 17, from 10am to 2pm, and translators will be available if needed. Attendees must register in advance here. If you are an employer, a training provider, or a support organisation who would like to join the event, register your interest by emailing centrallondonforward@cityoflondon.gov.uk. The fair is part of the GLA's No Wrong Door programme and is delivered in partnership with the London Borough of Islington, Westminster Employment Service, Tent Partnership for Refugees, Refugee Employment Network, Renaisi, DWP, Reed in Partnership and Ingeus.
