Did you know Islington Council has a range of business rate discount schemes you may qualify for? The Small Business Rate Relief offers reductions if your property’s rateable value is less than £15,000, and your business only uses one property (although you may still be able to get relief if you use more than one property). Other schemes include the Islington Retail Relief Scheme for occupied premises used as shops, restaurants, cafés, drinking establishments, cinemas, live music venues, leisure, hotels and more. The Council also offers rate reductions on premises used by charities and registered Community Amateur Sports Clubs, however you cannot get both Charitable Relief and Small Business Rate Relief at the same time.
